The inside pages of the book are printed with Algae Ink™.The ink is 100% biodegradable and 100% compostable. The pigment is algae derived. The algae is grown without chemicals, pesticides, herbicides, preservatives, additives, stabilisers, GMOs, or irradiation.
This book is the first ever publication to be certified vegan with The Vegan Society's Vegan Trademark. (The paper, inks, and glue are vegan – not the written content !) No animal testing has taken place during the manufacture, creation and development of this book (this also applies to the paper, inks, and glue).
My creative working practices always aim to be conscious about environmental, ethical and social responsibility. I encourage others to stand up for a cause in line with their own passions and values. Watermans is a family-run business located in South Yorkshire that makes the Grow Me range of luxury hair-growth shampoo and conditioner for men and women. It has never commissioned any other organisation to carry out animal tests on finished products or ingredients individually or in combination and fully complies with the requirements of EU and UK legislation regarding the manufacture and supply of cosmetic products. Matt and Gail Waterman, the brand's owners, find it sick and disgusting that in this day and age, people still perform tests on animals. Watermans loves PETA and all the work it does for animals. |
