If you are writing to report an animal emergency, contact one of these agencies:

  • In England and Wales, call the RSPCA on 0300 1234 999.
  • In Ireland, call the ISPCA on 1890 515515.
  • In Northern Ireland, contact your local USPCA. You can find the phone number here.
  • In Scotland, call the Scottish SPCA on 03000 999 999.
  • Elsewhere in the world, please contact your local animal-protection agency.
  • If an animal is in danger, you can also call your local police. And if laws aren’t being broken but you are still concerned about an animal’s well-being, please e-mail PETA US’ Cruelty Investigations Department at
