Animal Rahat – an organisation supported by PETA – is changing the lives of countless working animals in India, including the bullocks and horses straining to pull overloaded, poorly balanced carts for hundreds of miles to and from the Chinchali Fair. These and other animals often suffer from untreated wounds, neglect, and even beatings.
