Ask Your MP to Attend This Important Parliamentary Reception on Ending the Use of Animals in Experiments

Ask your MP to attend a special Parliamentary Reception marking one year since the publication of the UK Government’s Replacing Animals in Science Strategy.

Experimenters subject living, feeling beings to immense physical and psychological suffering. In UK laboratories, dogs may be force-fed pesticides, rabbits can be cut open and stitched back together , and mice can be deliberately given brain injuries before being killed. Countless other animals are poisoned, infected with diseases, paralysed, or electrocuted.

PETA and its supporters called on the Government to create a plan for endng experiments on animals. It listened.

In November 2025, the Government published its Replacing Animals in Science Strategy, a potentially transformative step towards ending animal suffering, modernising UK research, and accelerating the adoption of effective, ethical, human-relevant methods.

But a strategy is only as strong as its implementation.

On Wednesday, 11 November, PETA will bring together Parliamentarians, Government officials, scientists, and other specialists at the House of Commons to review progress, examine the challenges ahead, and identify priorities for the Strategy’s next phase.

Your MP needs to be part of that conversation.

Their engagement could help determine how quickly the UK moves away from cruel and outdated experiments on animals and embraces modern, non-animal science.

We have drafted an email inviting your MP to attend. All you need to do is add your details, review the message, and send it.

MPs are more likely to listen when they hear directly from the people they represent. Please contact your MP now and urge them to attend.

Please note that a UK address is required to complete this action.
