The Government recently launched a strategy to phase out research using animals. But cruel experiments are still happening every day in the UK, and there is a mountain to climb before animal experimentation is truly over. That’s why we’re calling on as many MPs as possible to join us at our event focused on an animal-free future in science.

We’re bringing Parliamentarians, scientists, and animal advocates together for an event exploring how the Government’s strategy will be implemented, the opportunities it opens up, and the practical steps needed to deliver a future of animal-free science. Tell your MP to attend!
Infected, Burned, and Killed
Experimenters subject living, feeling beings to almost unbearable physical and psychological suffering. In the UK, dogs are force-fed pesticides, rabbits have drugs injected into their eyes, and experimenters inflict brain injuries on mice before decapitating them.
Millions more animals are poisoned, deliberately infected, paralysed, or surgically mutilated.
The Government Must Act
The Government’s new strategy to phase out animal testing is a major turning point – a real chance to modernise UK research and accelerate the shift toward more effective, ethical, human-relevant science. But for this strategy to become reality, it will take cross-sector collaboration and thoughtful engagement with all stakeholders, including those that represent the most affected population, the animals used in experiments.
Event Details
Our Parliamentary Reception event, From Roadmap to Reality: Implementing the UK Strategy to Phase Out Animal Testing, will be held on Wednesday, 4 Feb, 2 - 4.30pm, Terrace Dining Room A, House of Commons – and your MP needs to be there!
Their support will shape how quickly and effectively the UK moves away from cruel experiments on animals and toward modern methods that better protect human health and animals, boost innovation, and reflect public values. You can help make that happen in seconds.
We’ve drafted an email encouraging your MP to attend this event – all you need to do is review it and hit send. Your voice makes a real difference, and MPs are far more likely to engage when they hear directly from their constituents.
Please take a moment to send the invitation now. It could be the nudge that gets your MP in the room and pushes this vital agenda forward.
Please note that a UK address is required to complete this action.
