Bullfighting is a violent slaughter of defenceless animals for entertainment. Yet StubHub International – the online ticket marketplace – is profiting from the resale of tickets to these archaic bloodbaths. Bulls need your voice. Please help stop this cruelty by urging StubHub International to stop cashing in on cruelty and end all bullfighting ticket sales in Spain.

Bulls Are Stabbed to Death
Bullfighting is a grotesque display of animal abuse and slaughter. During these events, sensitive, intelligent bulls are taunted, chased and stabbed repeatedly with a lance and harpoon-like weapons. As the bull weakens from blood loss, the matador – literally “killer” – drives a sword or knife into his body.
When the mortally wounded bull collapses in agony in a pool of his blood, baying crowds praise the matador, who may cut off the dying bull’s ears or tail as a trophy – sometimes while the animal is still conscious.
StubHub International is enabling this cruelty by profiting from the resale of bullfighting tickets.
Public Opposition Is Growing
In Spain, public opposition to bullfighting is at an all-time high. Eight in 10 Spaniards oppose it, and hundreds of municipalities have declared themselves against it.
In a historic move, nearly 700,000 Spanish citizens backed the legislative initiative No Es Mi Cultura, to strip bullfighting of its protected cultural status. Although the proposal was ultimately blocked by the Spanish Congress, it became the most-signed citizens’ legislative iniaititives in in the last decade, demonstrating the public’s clear desire for change. Despite this overwhelming public condemnation, StubHub International continues to profit from the resale of bullfighting tickets, helping to keep this violent spectacle alive.
Bullfighting is “Unacceptable”
The Association of British Travel Agents (ABTA) classifies events involving bulls as “unacceptable practices,” and most major travel companies – including On Site Events, The Travel Corporation, G Adventures, and Club Med – have long cut ties with bullfighting.
StubHub International continues to ignore the growing consensus that these violent spectacles have no place in modern tourism.
