Urge ASOS and AllSaints to Stop Selling Leather

The leather industry subjects over a billion sensitive, sentient beings each year to horrific cruelty. Animals used for leather endure joyless lives of suffering in cramped, filthy conditions until they’re violently slaughtered – often while they’re still conscious and in full view of one another. ASOS and AllSaints support this industry by selling cows’ skin. Please urge the brands to offer only vegan leather now.

The Cruel Leather Trade

Cows are remarkable – they can recognise over 100 others of their kind, and they grieve when their friends or family members die. They feel fear, stress, and pain, just like anyone else. It’s unacceptable to abuse and kill them for any reason, including for clothing and accessories.

Cows and other animals killed for their skin endure the horrors of factory farming: extreme crowding and deprivation as well as castration, branding, and tail-docking – all without any painkillers.

The Harm to the Environment

Producing cow leather contributes significantly to water pollution and depletion and emits massive amounts of greenhouse gases – far more than are generated in the production of any synthetic or plant-based vegan leather.

Animal-Friendly Materials Are Readily Available

Vegan leather can be derived from apples, mushrooms, tree bark, banana leaves, cacti, and grapes. It’s high time fashion companies chose style, compassion, and conservation over animal abuse by selling only vegan leather.

ASOS and AllSaints already sell animal-free leather and know how popular it is. It would be easy and logical for them to make this compassionate change.

Please use the form below to urge these companies to choose kindness – not cruelty and environmental devastation – by selling only vegan leather.
